ICH, GEORG BÜCHNER | Musical theatre in Berlin-Moabit, October 29, 2007

georg-buechner.jpgDoctors are a lot in Germany. Poets you find also sometimes. But revolutionaries you meet quite seldom. German author Georg Büchner was all of this, today he is a school book classic and his works are popular in the world of theatre. The new cabaret spot ENGELBROT, which is the former "Hansa-Theater", dedicates a complete programme to the free thinker, who passed away early at age 24.

Theater impressario and exceptional guitarist Ludo Vici from Munich, Germany is working after the maxim "Rock'n'Roll will never die" and treat Büchner's life and his lyrics into a powerful and anarchistic revue. Enjoy Berlin's first "Rockin' Literature Director" as G.B. on stage.

Quote:

"The show is beyond all borders of the usual agreement theatre. No lavish stage set, no perfect illusion, nothing which please the external spoilt educated classes. But the advice and greeting from beyond our limits, out of the graveyard from Georg Büchner, from the cellars of humour, raise the hope theatre is a place to give new impetus.--Munich Merkur
